The African American Family Resiliency Association (AAFRA) began as a grassroots organization with a mission to address disproportionate outcomes faced by families of African descent within the child welfare system. Since its inception, AAFRA has worked tirelessly to reduce out-of-home placements for children by engaging with families currently within the system or at risk of entering it.
